When Bob Gibb visited John’s Island in 1976, he knew it was where he wanted to live one day. Seven years later, Gibb and his wife purchased a home in the community he’d fallen in love with and today the owner and President of John’s Island Real Estate Company wouldn’t live anywhere else.
Bob had been working as an investment banker on Wall Street from 1968 to 1989 before moving to John’s Island, where he quickly became top producing broker for ten years. October 29, 1999 Bob proudly purchased John’s Island Real Estate Company and to this day provides leadership to his team with new ideas and initiatives.
Bob currently serves on the Board of Directors at The Riverside Theatre, Northern Trust Bank and the Treasure Coast Wine Festival. He formerly sat on the Board of Trustees at Saint Edwards School and was a founding board member of the Marine Bank in Vero Beach.
- Jack Mitchell
- With almost 40 years of experience at John's Island, Jack is the senior member of our staff and resident historian. He has been a John's Island resident since 1974. Having served 30 years in the Air Force, Jack is a retired Air Force Colonel. He serves as a Director on the Foundation Board of VNA Hospice, a Director for the Moffit Cancer Center Research Institute, and a Member of the Indian River Shores Planning, Zoning and Variance Board.
- Judy Bramson
- Judy and her husband Tom discovered John's Island in 1972, and moved down from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1984. She joined John's Island Real Estate Company soon after that. Judy’s passion for interior design has contributed to her flourishing real estate career. She enjoys golf and is an active member of the community.
- Jeannette Windsor Mahaney
- Jeannette’s professional career in business and the real estate industry started in 1970 in Maryland. Over the past several decades, she has had a very diverse business background culminating as the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Allied Container Corporation in Baltimore, Maryland. She and her husband, Don, moved to South Florida where Jeannette continued her business pursuits in the real estate industry as a top producer and extremely successful real estate broker in Boca Raton. Jeannette is involved in numerous community activities and was a working member of the Board of Directors of John's Island Community Service League for over 11 years. Jeannette and Don have been residents of John's Island since 1990.
- Ba Delafield Stone
- Ba and her family moved to John's Island from Darien, Connecticut in 1972. She has a vast knowledge of real estate and the Vero Beach community. Ba is an avid golf and tennis player, and has been involved in several community organizations since moving to John’s Island.
- Terry Crowley
- Terry began her real estate career in Darien and Greenwich, Connecticut in the 1970s. In 1988 she and her family moved to John's Island where she continued to work in real estate as well as interior design. Terry and her husband have built and renovated a number of homes for themselves in John's Island, thus she is highly qualified to help buyers evaluate properties.
- David C. Ashcroft
- David C. Ashcroft joined our team as a Sales Executive in 2004. He is originally from Easton, CT and moved to Vero Beach in 1978. His wife, Kristin, and their two small children, Lane and Blake, have been John's Island owners since 2001. They had spent 16 years in Tokyo, Japan where he managed a small firm specializing in Interest Rate Derivatives.
