The Academy for the Performing Arts, Inc. is a non-profit music school in Vero Beach, Florida that provides year-round instructional and performance opportunities to help students of all ages and economic levels reach their highest musical potential. Private Instruction available in voice, percussion including marimba and timpani, guitar, piano, violin/viola, brass and woodwinds. Group lessons may be available. Located in central Vero Beach, the Academy for the Performing Arts is located across the street from the Indian River County Main Library.

That means more dollars are needed to fund promising research projects; to expand information, education, and advocacy efforts; and to increase the level of services provided to cancer patients and their families.

McKee Botanical Gardens »
McKee Botanical Garden, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit cultural organization with the mission of "nurturing and enhancing a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of all." Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a historic Florida landmark, it has been endorsed by The Garden Conservancy as a project of National Significance and received the Florida Trust's "Outstanding Achievement in Landscape Architecture" in 2002.
The Garden receives support from individuals, foundations, and corporations and from income generated from admissions, gift shop sales, special events, and rentals. The Garden can be rented for weddings, dinner parties, receptions, ceremonies and other private events.
McKee Botanical Garden is known for its 18-acre subtropical jungle hammock, filled with plants appropriate for horticultural growing zone 9B. This dense and diverse collection also features several restored architectural treasures.

The VNA of the Treasure Coast provides home healthcare services — including Medicare-reimbursed and private-duty nursing; home health aides; physical, speech, and occupational therapy; in-home companions; and personal transportation — throughout the Treasure Coast. The agency is also the only licensed hospice provider in Indian River County, offering end-of-life care in patients’ homes, local hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and the VNA Hospice House. We also provide wellness services such as flu and pneumonia vaccinations, no-cost blood pressure/blood sugar screenings, and speakers on health-related topics for local community groups.
