The Education Foundation of Indian River County has been fulfilling wishes by opening educational doors. As the only Education Foundation in the State of Florida to service both public and private school students, we ensure educational opportunities for every Pre-K through 12th grade student in Indian River County.

Indian River School District

The School District of Indian River County is located approximately halfway down the east coast of Florida. Centrally located 75 miles south of the Kennedy Space Center and 135 miles north of Miami, our 543 square miles contain beautiful beaches, immaculate ocean and river front communities, and endless groves of renowned Indian River oranges and grapefruits. Our district has 13 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, 2 high schools, one alternative education center, one technical college, one exceptional student education school, and 5 charter schools.

John's Island Community Service League

The John's Island Community Service League is a non-profit, member driven organization primarily involved in raising funds for distribution to charitable agencies in Indian River County concerned with the health, education and human services of women and children in need; and to a scholarship program.

John's Island Foundation

McKee Botanical Gardens

McKee Botanical Garden, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit cultural organization with the mission of "nurturing and enhancing a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of all." Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a historic Florida landmark, the 18-acre subtropical jungle hammock can be rented for weddings, dinner parties, receptions, ceremonies and other private events. In January 2020, McKee unveiled its most ambitious undertaking: the new Children’s Garden. Designed by landscape architect Emmanuel Didier, the mission of the Children’s Garden is to create a fun and whimsical outdoor destination that inspires imagination and curiosity in children through interaction, education and exploration, nurturing a powerful bond between families and children and nature.

Mental Health Association (United Way Agency)

The Mental Health Association in Indian River County provides help to individuals and families dealing with a variety of emotional and behavioral situations. MHA services focus on preventing problems from escalating to severe and often costly situations. MHA is the first place to turn for support and solutions in times of emotional duress. 

Riverside Theatre & Riverside Children's Theatre  

Riverside Theatre is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

Samaritan Center 

The Samaritan Center is an interfaith non-profit organization providing shelter and support for homeless families of Indian River County. Families enter our 12-18 month program to develop a permanent solution to their homeless situation. Samaritan Center provides housing, employment, counseling, financial management, job training, transportation, liaison with other agencies, parenting classes and case management services to residents of our program.

Incorporated on June 11, 1953, the Town of Indian River Shores is identified with its pristine beaches and controlled growth. We are one of five incorporated municipalities in Indian River County, located on the East Coast of Central Florida. The Town’s seven square miles lie along State Road A-1-A between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to the City of Vero Beach. The Town of Indian River Shores consists primarily of low-density, gated residential communities. Approximately 3,800 year-round residents enjoy our semi-tropical climate, with that figure nearly doubling during the winter months. 

Vero Beach Choral Society

The Vero Beach Choral Society is a community-based, intergenerational ensemble that sings choral art music from the Renaissance through the 21st century. Our repertoire generally includes at least two large-scale, multi-movement works per season. The Vero Beach Museum of Art provides cultural leadership and enrichment for the public through a wide variety of educational, studio art and humanities programs; a diversity of quality exhibitions; and the collection, preservation and presentation of important American and international works of art.

Promote, support, professionally produce/present and advance the art of grand opera in our community. 

VNA & VNA Hospice of the Treasure Coast

The VNA of the Treasure Coast provides home healthcare services — including Medicare-reimbursed and private-duty nursing; home health aides; physical, speech, and occupational therapy; in-home companions; and personal transportation — throughout the Treasure Coast. The agency is also the only licensed hospice provider in Indian River County, offering end-of-life care in patients’ homes, local hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and the VNA Hospice House. We also provide wellness services such as flu and pneumonia vaccinations, no-cost blood pressure/blood sugar screenings, and speakers on health-related topics for local community groups.
